Becoming An Industry Leader
I have a passion and drive to become a great principled innovative leader in the fashion industry by applying the learned concepts and principles within the industry. When given the opportunity to learn from ELLE Education, I jumped at the opportunity. I was so excited to be accepted into a program that offered everything I was looking for.
Finding a program that can check off all the boxes on my list can be extremely hard to find. A program that gives me the first hand experiences, exceptional professors and industry appropriate material was a dream come true. I thoroughly enjoyed learning all of the topics that was presented to me during the “Marketing & Communications for Fashion & Luxury Brands” Program. One of my favourite things about the program was how current the industry professionals and CEO’s were. It was inspiring learning from our current and future leaders. They are creating the paths for us to follow.
Another part of the program that I liked, was that I had the ability to connect with students from all over the world. This year was a little different than most due to the pandemic, but that didn’t stop the program from moving forward in a positive manner. All of the students and professors were always passionate, positive and eager to work together within the program.
I believe and understand that fashion can be interpreted on many different levels. Collaborating with other artists, students and professionals by combining ideas to the highest level is one of my true passions. It helps the industry grow in unique ways to a large degree. With the fashion industry going through a historical shift, it is important now more than ever that we collaborate, support and learn from one another to set the tune for future generations.
In closing, my goal is to become one of the future leaders of the fashion industry while inspiring others along my journey. I truly believe in good business, honesty, creative thinking and working together. Thank you ELLE Education for playing a prominent role in my journey. I am forever grateful!

One of the most impactful takeaways from the event was the importance of embracing opportunities rather than dwelling on missed chances. charity involvement
Operation Smile
Operation Smile is a global medical charity helping to improve the health and lives of children in more than 60 countries. We’ve provided more than 300,000 children and young adults born with cleft lip, cleft palate
and other facial differences with free life-changing surgical procedures and dental care. We train doctors and local medical professionals, donate medical equipment and supplies and provide year-round medical treatments through a network of comprehensive care centres. Operation Smile Canada was established in 2011 and became a registered charity in 2012.
Maddison helped raise a total of $118,357 in 2015 while participating in the Miss Universe Canada Pageant.
Covenant House
As many as 40,000 young people experience homelessness in Canada every year, and hundreds of youth are being trafficked. These issues deeply affect and shape young lives, and often transcend background, income or gender. The Covenant House strives to prevent homelessness and sex trafficking by sharing knowledge, raising awareness and reconnecting youth with their fam-ilies and social networks.
In 2020, Maddison participated in the “Sleep Out” that helped raise over $560,000.00.
